In 2026 we remember the great architect Antoni Gaudí 100 years after his death, coinciding with Barcelona’s World Capital of Architecture.  Gaudí founded his architecture on a synthesis of the sciences and the arts imbued with his conviction that the laws of creation are found in nature, which he set out to investigate in order to apply them in his projects. This is how his works transmit a spirituality that thrills, while being efficient and perfectly conditioned.

Following this way of understanding Gaudí’s work, the Antonio Gaudí Foundation organizes the Photographic Contest “Nature in Gaudí”, which will award a first prize of 5,000 euros “Ángeles Omedas Millan”, in tribute to one of the benefactors of the Foundation, and two second prizes of 500 euros.

We hope that photographers, architects and the general public will display their creativity and be able to reflect the inspiration in nature that Gaudí’s work synthesizes.  Anyone of legal age can participate, from all countries in the world. Between 1 and 3 images can be submitted, either individually or as part of a series. They can be in black and white or in color. The central theme must be the inspiration in nature in the work of the architect Gaudí.
